Certainly, video should be leveraged for business use these days. I couldn’t agree more. Particularly as a corporate video producer myself!

Small businesses benefit tremendously by using videos. I’ve created video testimonials which are quite powerful marketing tools—your own customers talk about how you solved their problems! You can also use your website as a delivery system for training resources, or in-house messages to staff. No more making DVDs or CDs that you have to store, and that eventually get put to use as coasters. Just put your message on your website in a password-protected place, or on your intranet, and direct employees there to view and comment.

Using the web for video use extends way beyond YouTube. YouTube doesn’t offer the quality of resolution that you will want, nor does it offer the level of professionalism. Who wants their corporate message to be found with the videos of people falling off their roofs while their neighbor keeps the camera rolling?

Corporate video deserves to be on corporate websites. Keep the branding the same, and keep the eyes on your pages.
